Chantal and Thomas on the road
The trip to England, a collision with a deer, various smaller excursions and finally the off-road course made a lot clear: A lot still has to be adapted and changed here! Anyway, we had more work to do than we ever dreamed of.
We already knew from other adventures that one should test a camper before a larger journey. A material transport to England made sense and we planned 3 weeks in the middle of England during the late autumn time.
What a coincidence, a short time later I found a used vehicle on the side of Gazelle and only built up on a manually operated jeep. Soon I was in contact with the salesman in the Savoy and the questions became more and more concrete. Our contact also included importing into Switzerland and how we could do this successfully. Soon I showed Chantal the first photos with the question whether she could imagine a journey with such a vehicle.
Already in my youth I dreamt of an all-terrain vehicle and driving in difficult terrain. At that time my favourite was clearly the Landrover 109, i.e. the large station wagon that was needed for all kinds of adventures and expeditions. Read More
